Andrew Willetts Opticians first opened in September 1998 with the aim of providing high quality products and professional services in relaxed and friendly surroundings.

The practice is situated in Birkdale, near Southport; home to the Open Championship golf course at Royal Birkdale.

With easy parking, and the convenience of the train station and bus stops being within 2 minutes walk, getting there couldn't be easier. And, as the consulting room is on the ground floor, there is easy access for the less mobile.

The relaxed atmosphere starts from the moment you arrive. You will be offered a fresh cup coffee and made to feel as welcome as possible.

Our practice philosophy is simple:-

MEET THE STAFF

Andrew R. Willetts BSc(Hons) MCOptom - Principle Optometrist

Andrew Willetts is an Optometrist who qualified in Optometry in 1991. Having gained experience in a wide variety of independent optical practices, in 1998 he felt the time was right to open his own practice. He feels he has found the perfect location in Birkdale enabling him to fulfil his passion of providing the highest quality eyecare to as wide a cross-section of the public as possible.

He takes pride in being able to help people from all walks of life, and at all ages, all in relaxed and friendly surroundings. And keen to keep up-to-date with all aspects of optometry and any new innovations, he has invested in state-of-the-art equipment to help ensure that patients will benefit from some of the latest products and services on offer.

But most of all, he values the contributions that the rest of the staff make to the efficient and happy running of the practice.

Nadya Booth - Dispensing Optician

Our dispensing optician in Nadya Booth. She qualified in Dispensing Optics in .... and has worked in a wide variety of different practices, both independent and high street multiple. She joined Andrew Willetts Opticians in 2008 and has quickly proved to be an invaluable member of the team.

Optical Assistants

Like most businesses, success often depends on the staff at the front line. Andrew Willetts Opticians owes much of its success to its reception staff. Cheryl Davies, Brenda Howard, Carly Hegarty and Sue Willetts (Andrew’s mum) have all proved to be tremendous assets to the practice. Andrew cannot praise his staff highly enough and never underestimates the hard work, skill and loyalty shown by everyone in the team.
